With
a store revenue as high as £1 million per week, Sainsbury's
simply can't afford to turn customers away.
When
decorative refurbishment needs to be completed, the emphasis is
on finding access solutions that will allow the stores to stay open.
Recently, Sainsbury's contracted Robinsons to refresh an underground
car park in one of its south London locations. Research highlighted
that female shoppers felt vulnerable in the car park and were intimidated
by the dark style of decor. Our challenge was to redecorate all
areas in a more approachable fashion without closing the store.
This required us to work alongside a continual stream of vehicles
and people whilst employing mobile access equipment that would respect
the flow of traffic. Specially developed ICI Dulux Trade Dry Fall
Eggshell paint was used along with the latest airspray techniques
to ensure both man and machine were left untouched throughout the
duration of the project. Our work with ICI Dry Fall was so
successful, Sainsbury's decided to extend its application to many
of the remaining car parks, and internal sales floor ceilings of
the stores.
